About Slidell, St. Tammany Parish and beyond:  (Northshore)

St. Tammany Parish, also known as New Orleans Northshore, has been a well-known area for Nature lovers, bird watchers, and sportsmen.  Woodridge Bed and Breakfast is located just outside of the Louisiana State Pearl River Wildlife Management Area, which covers over 35,000 acres.  http://www.wlf.state.la.us/apps/netgear/index.asp?cn=lawlf&pid=361

There are also 3 National Wildlife Refuges in the area; Bogue Chitto (10 minute drive), Big Branch(15 minute drive) and Bayou Sauvage (20 minute drive).

One of the best ways to see the swamp is Dr. Wagner's The Honey Island Swamp Tour, which is only 5 minutes from Woodridge!  Stay with us and we will book your tour for you and we will save you 20% off your tour!

Of course, there is more to this area, much, much more.  Slidell and Covington (20 minutes west) both have excellent antique shopping areas, great (5 star) restaurants, art galleries and museums that can keep you going all day and well into the evening.  You may even want to stop by the Pontchartrain Vineyard or Abita Beer Brewery or the UNUSUAL UCM museum during your daily adventure.
